Let’s talk tattoos!

Hello! My name’s Alix and I am a tattoo artist, and the writer and artist behind Concealed in Nerves. As well as proud bird mom to a silly Grey Parrot named Bones.

I do black and grey, and colour tattoos predominantly. I also have years of experience doing complicated (or simple) coverups and bring an art style to tattooing that is unique to my process.

I take inspiration from neo-traditional tattooing as well as Japanese traditional art and graphic art. I enjoy both detail oriented and bold tattoo styles. I’ve worked in walkin tattoo shop’s for the majority of my career and can take on interesting and new projects, but I do prefer to design things in my style. I invest hours into designing my tattoo layouts and have the best results when I am able to design in a way that is more natural to me.

Custom tattoos

Custom tattoos are ideas you bring to me! The majority of tattoos I do on any given basis are ideas like this. They can range from a tiny $80 tattoo to much larger art pieces.

Small repeatable flash

I make sheets of tiny tattoos on my spare time that are repeatable designs. These tattoos can end up on lots of different people; maybe you’ll meet your tattoo twin one day!
